KSTAR Conference 2015

February 25^th – 27^th, 2015, Daejeon Convention Center, Daejeon, Korea

The KSTAR Conference 2015 will be held at Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) in Daejeon, Korea on Wednesday, February 25^th thru Friday, February 27^th, 2015.

The KSTAR Conference is an annual conference to exchange information on joint experiments and engineering activities in KSTAR and other fusion devices, as well as to discuss the current status of ITER, fusion power plant design, theory, basic plasma research and application. The KSTAR Conference 2015 will give you a chance to exchange view, visions and experiences and to establish fruitful contacts.

※ National Research Foundation of Korea will organize the 2015 Seminar for Basic Fusion Research & Development Program at satellite meetings.

TOPICS

A.    Joint experiment in KSTAR and major research progress in fusion facilities

B.    Engineering for steady-state fusion device

- Heating, diagnostics, magnets, divertor, CODAC, and others

C.  ITER, DEMO, and Innovative fusion device

D.  Theory and simulation for fusion Plasma

E.  Basic plasma research and application

F.  Other topics, such as education, politics, or public relations

REGISTRATION

All participants should be registered for the Conference through the conference website (https://kstar.nfri.re.kr/con_home) by January 23^th ,2015.

ABSTARCT SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Each abstract should be submitted electronically at conference website (https://kstar.nfri.re.kr/con_home) no later than January 23^th, 2015.

DCC is located in Daejeon metropolitan city in the middle of South Korea hosting a cluster of science and technology research institutes including NFRI.

In the vicinity of DCC, several traditional hot springs are quite popular in Korea, where the hot spring water is famous for its numerous minerals, soothing bather’s skin.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO DCC

DCC located 270 km away from Incheon Airport (ICN). Limousine shuttle bus takes about 3 hours from ICN to Daejeon Government Complex near DCC. The Korean Train Express (KTX) takes about 2 hours from ICN to Daejeon station and subway will takes about 20 min from Daejeon station to Daejeon Government Complex. A taxi should not take more than 10 minute from Government Complex to DCC.
